Oracle Health has expanded access to its Clinical AI Agent tool to healthcare organizations across Canada.
The AI-powered assistant, already in use by providers in the U.S., reduces daily documentation time by an average of 30%, according to a May 14 press release. It supports more than 40 medical specialties, including cardiology, nephrology, internal medicine and behavioral health.
The Clinical AI Agent integrates generative AI, multimodal voice and screen-driven technology into a single workflow solution embedded within the Oracle Health Foundation EHR. It generates draft clinical notes and suggests next steps for providers at the point of care.
To date, clinicians have used the tool to create nearly 1 million notes. The assistant also allows providers to retrieve key medical history information by voice command, eliminating the need to manually search through drop-down menus and screens.
Executives said the tool helps reduce clinician burnout and improve focus on patient care by streamlining administrative tasks.
