Jamie Youssef was appointed CEO of Ascension Texas, effective June 1.
Mr. Youssef brings more than 23 years of experience to Ascension Texas, part of St. Louis-based Ascension, according to a May 19 health system news release.
Most recently, he served as senior vice president of network development and service lines with Nashville Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare.

Prior to his most recent job with HCA, Mr. Youssef held senior executive roles for Medical City Healthcare—HCA North Texas Division and Medical City Children’s Hospital in Dallas. He also previously served as vice president at Integrated Health Strategies, a national healthcare consulting firm, and in senior operations roles for Columbus-based OhioHealth and Grant Medical Center.
Ascension Texas encompasses Ascension Providence in Waco and Ascension Seton, which includes Dell Children’s Medical Center, and Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas at Austin.
