Pat Samples, MSN, RN, chief nursing officer at Estes Park (Colo.) Health, is retiring after five years in the role.

Ms. Samples joined the system in April 2020 and led Estes Park through the COVID-19 pandemic and a local wildfire, according to a May 21 system news release. During her tenure, she led the teams that introduced a sleep lab, infusion clinic and cardiac rehabilitation service, as well as improved the hospital’s patient care scorecard.

Estes Park Health will appoint an interim chief nursing officer and begin its search for Ms. Sample’s replacement.
