In an effort to reshape its healthcare strategy, Hudson Regional has appointed two new leaders, Paige Dworak as system COO and Michael Hochberg, MD, as chief hospital executive for Bayonne Medical Center, according to a May 7 news release shared with Becker’s.
In addition to Bayonne Medical Center, the New Jersey-based organization operates three additional acute care facilities in the state: Hudson Regional Hospital in Secaucus, Hoboken University Medical Center and Christ Hospital in Jersey City.
“These appointments are part of our long-term strategy to rebuild and reimagine care across Hudson County,” said Nizar Kifaieh, MD, CEO of Hudson Regional Hospital, in the release. “With Paige and Dr. Hochberg’s leadership, we are confident that our hospitals will become models of quality, innovation, and patient-centered care.”
Ms. Dworak joins Hudson Regional from CareWell Health Medical Center in East Orange, N.J., where she served as president and CEO. Dr. Hochberg previously served as corporate chief quality officer and associate chief medical officer at Dallas-based Steward Health Care.
These appointments follow an April court approval permitting Hudson Regional Hospital to operate three CarePoint Health hospitals, facilitating the system’s bankruptcy exit.
