Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health has appointed two leaders to oversee its digital health transformation efforts: Tamara Moores Todd, MD, as chief health informatics officer, and Jason McClellan as chief clinical informatics officer.

Dr. Moores Todd, who previously served as interim CHIO and associate CHIO, will now formally lead the system’s health informatics strategy. During her more than 10-year tenure at Intermountain, she has overseen the rollout of decision support systems and developed clinical communication platforms aimed at improving care coordination, according to a May 9 news release.

Mr. McClellan brings nearly a decade of informatics experience with Intermountain. His previous roles include associate chief clinical informatics officer and informatics director of learning and communication. He helped lead the health system’s EHR implementation and championed documentation tools for clinical teams.

Both leaders will remain part of Intermountain’s Digital Technology Services Executive Leadership Team and report to Ryan Smith, the system’s chief digital and information officer.
