Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health has named Michael Harrington its new executive vice president and CFO.

Mr. Harrington joins the system from New York City-based Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he served as CFO since 2019, according to a May 1 Jefferson news release.

He previously served as assistant CFO at Cleveland Clinic. His past experience also includes finance roles at Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Parkview Health and UnitedHealthcare.

“Mike brings deep financial expertise and a track record of success leading transformational initiatives at some of the most respected institutions in healthcare,” Jefferson CEO Joseph Cacchione, MD, said in the release. “His experience will be invaluable as Jefferson continues to expand access to high-quality care, ensure long-term financial sustainability and drive strategic growth.”

Mr. Harrington succeeds John Mordach, who departed from the role on Feb. 14. He had served in the role since March 2023.

Jefferson merged with Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network in August to form a 32-hospital system with more than 700 care sites and $14 billion in annual revenue.

Thomas Marchozzi, Jefferson’s chief integration officer and former CFO of Lehigh Valley Health, served as interim CFO following Mr. Mordach’s departure. He will now fully transition into his integration role.
