Mercy names chief nurse executive

Chesterfield, Mo.-based Mercy has promoted Stephanie Clements, BSN, RN, from her leadership role in Oklahoma to serve as the system’s next chief nurse executive. 

Ms. Clements most recently served as community chief nursing officer for Mercy’s Oklahoma hospitals and as vice president and chief nursing officer of Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City. Before joining Mercy in 2024, she was CEO of Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.

In her new role, Ms. Clements will oversee more than 15,000 nurses across Mercy’s 50 hospitals and more than 300 physician offices, according to a March 26 news release. Mercy is the sixth largest Catholic health system in the U.S., employing more than 52,000 people and reporting an operating revenue of $9.27 billion.
